Sussexes Hold Back from Sending Online Greetings as Royal Family Acknowledges King’s Milestone
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have once again opted not to share a public message for King Charles on his 76th birthday, choosing to remain silent on the occasion.
While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex refrained from publicly acknowledging the monarch’s special day, the Prince and Princess of Wales offered their well wishes on social media. Posting on platform X, they shared: "Wishing a very Happy Birthday to His Majesty The King!"
King Charles celebrated his birthday by continuing his royal duties, launching a new Coronation Food Hub in London as part of the first anniversary of the project. Meanwhile, Prince William fulfilled engagements in Northern Ireland, focusing on youth homelessness and the creative industries.
The Sussexes' decision to stay silent mirrors their actions last year when they did not publicly mark the King’s 75th birthday. However, it was reported at the time that Prince Harry made a personal phone call to his father instead.
It remains uncertain whether Harry and Meghan plan to send private birthday wishes this year, but so far, no public acknowledgment has been made.
