Couple Invests in £3.6 Million Portuguese Property Near Princess Eugenie’s Retreat
Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly invested millions in a new home in Portugal, as their American dream proves less idyllic than expected. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex purchased a £3.6 million residence within the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club, a high-end community often likened to the "Hamptons of Portugal."
Located just an hour from Lisbon and near the residence of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, this move hints at a potential shift back towards Europe. Grant Harrold, King Charles' former butler, suggested the purchase might signal the Sussexes “edging their way back in the direction of the UK.”
Reflecting on their American experience, Harrold shared, "People often return after moving abroad, so it wouldn’t be unusual if Harry and Meghan made a similar choice." He added that Meghan’s upcoming lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, could thrive from any location. Her brand will feature items like jams, dog biscuits, homewares, and cooking utensils, showing their entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well.
