Duke of Sussex Shares Excitement for 2025 Invictus Games in Vancouver
Prince Harry delighted fans during a live TV interview over the weekend, briefly pausing mid-answer to acknowledge a cheering crowd at a Canadian Football League championship game.
Speaking with TSN ahead of the match, the Duke of Sussex discussed the upcoming winter Invictus Games, set to take place in Vancouver in February 2025. When fans called out his name during the interview, Harry turned to them with a warm smile, greeting them with a cheerful, "Hi guys," before continuing his discussion.
Harry expressed his enthusiasm for the Games, emphasising their importance in providing healing and rehabilitation for veterans and their families through sport. “This time in less than three months, we’ll be back for the opening ceremony in February, so that’s what we’re really excited about,” he shared.
Having founded the Invictus Games in 2014 while still an active royal, Harry remains dedicated to the event, even after stepping down from royal duties in 2020. This year, he celebrated the Games’ 10th anniversary with a special event at St Paul’s Cathedral.
Looking ahead, Harry revealed that the Invictus Games will return to the UK in 2027, continuing his unwavering support for wounded servicemen and women around the world.
The Duke’s candid interaction with fans and heartfelt advocacy for the Games highlighted his enduring connection to the cause and his ability to engage with audiences, making the 2025 Invictus Games an eagerly anticipated chapter.
