In his upcoming ITV documentary, Prince William: We Can End Homelessness, William reflects on moments from his childhood with Harry, prompting some royal commentators to view this mention as a subtle invitation to mend their fractured relationship.
However, Harry faces a dilemma: any decision on his part to acknowledge William’s gesture may require consideration of his wife, Meghan Markle, who remains uninterested in a return to the UK. According to royal commentator Rupert Bell, “the only way the olive branch is going to happen is if Harry eats some serious humble pie and admits to his mistakes.”
Bell noted it would be “odd” for William not to mention Harry in the documentary, given their close bond in the past. The Prince of Wales is expected to share more about their childhood and his hopes for reconciliation as the film airs on ITV and ITVX on October 30 and 31.
