Prince Harry has been the subject of various headlines, especially following his departure from royal duties and ongoing tensions with his father, King Charles, and brother, Prince William. Among the rumours that have long shadowed the Duke of Sussex is one questioning his biological parentage, suggesting that Princess Diana’s former acquaintance, James Hewitt, could be his father.
This speculation has lingered despite Harry’s resemblance to Charles, prompting facial recognition expert Simone Malik to set the record straight. In an interview with Daily Star, Malik firmly rejected the rumour, saying, “No, not at all,” whenever the theory arises. She explained that her expertise as a “super-recogniser” allows her to identify features uniquely aligned with King Charles.
“I understand why the public might make the connection, particularly with the ginger hair,” Malik acknowledged, “but from my perspective, King Charles is definitely Harry’s father. Charles and Diana both have a narrow forehead, unlike Hewitt’s wide and deep one.”
Richard Dalton, Diana’s former hairdresser, also confirmed that Harry was already born by the time Diana met Hewitt, further discrediting the rumour.
Harry himself referenced these rumours in his memoir Spare, recounting an “unfunny” joke Charles once made about Harry’s parentage, jokingly speculating that his father might be “in Broadmoor.”
