Body Language Expert Notes “Inner Tension” and Surprising Parallels Between the Royal Brothers
In his latest documentary, Prince William subtly reveals his nerves as he mentions his estranged brother Harry’s name for the first time in years. The Prince of Wales, preparing for a visit to Cape Town from November 4 to November 7, appeared to display “clues of inner tension,” according to body language expert Judi James.
James noted that although William adopted a relaxed posture and tone, he slid over Harry’s name quickly, almost pronouncing it as “Huury.” She remarked, “There’s a subtle sign of inner tension as he enunciates his brother’s name.” The father of three seemed candid as he recounted memories, with his expressions and tone reflecting a youthful openness.
In an intriguing twist, James observed similarities between William and Harry’s speaking styles, noting that both now use pronounced gesticulations to emphasise their words. “William and Harry appear to act out their words with matching hand gestures, a style that Harry often uses when speaking to US audiences,” James explained. This highly animated form of communication, while typical for certain speakers, is notably intensified in both brothers.
The body language expert suggests this style might indicate a desire to maintain audience engagement—perhaps reflecting the inner challenges both princes face as they address personal and public issues on camera.
