Prince William to Celebrate New Honour Without Princess Kate

Kensington Palace Announces Prince’s Role as Co-Patron of Jewel of Arabia Expedition

Prince William is set to mark an exciting new honour without Princess Kate by his side, as Kensington Palace confirms his appointment as co-patron of the “Jewel of Arabia Expedition.”

The Prince of Wales will share this role with His Highness Theyazin bin Haitham, Heir to the Omani throne, at an event in London. The expedition aims to raise awareness among young people about the importance of Oman’s natural heritage and biodiversity.

The invitation to co-patron the project reflects the strong ties between the UK and Oman, as well as William’s passion for conservation. This collaboration follows his 2019 visit to Oman, where he explored environmental preservation efforts, a theme close to his heart.

At the event, William and Theyazin will view artefacts from the original expedition, including historical maps of Oman, underscoring the cultural and environmental significance of the initiative.

Princess Kate, however, will not accompany William as she focuses on her upcoming Christmas carol concert, scheduled for December 6. The annual event is expected to bring together high-profile members of the royal family and Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, along with her siblings, Pippa and James.

While the couple balances their individual royal commitments, William’s latest honour highlights his ongoing dedication to fostering international cooperation and environmental conservation.
