The Future Queen Embraces Spirituality Following Cancer Battle, Inspired by King Charles
As Prince William departs for Cape Town, South Africa, to attend the Earthshot Prize ceremony, Princess Kate has embarked on a new personal journey that reflects a deepening of her faith, reportedly inspired by King Charles’ example during his own health struggles.
According to Robert Hardman's updated book, Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story, the Princess of Wales has grown increasingly religious following her cancer diagnosis earlier this year. A family friend shared insights with the author, saying, “I would say that things are more hopeful there.”
While William is described as "modern" and somewhat reserved about ceremonial and religious practices, the Prince of Wales remains respectful of religious institutions. A palace insider commented that although William may not feel entirely at ease in faith settings, he greatly respects them.
Similarly, King Charles has often spoken openly about his spirituality, which became a source of strength during his own health journey. Now, his daughter-in-law, Princess Kate, appears to be embracing a similar path.
Catherine publicly announced her cancer diagnosis in March 2024 and, after several months of treatment, shared in September that she had completed chemotherapy, though the journey to full recovery remains ongoing.
