Queen Consort Reflects on King’s Resilience and Positive Outlook Following Recent Royal Tour
In a rare public comment about King Charles’s health, Queen Camilla provided an update on his ongoing cancer treatment, reassuring the public that the King is “doing really well.” The Queen Consort shared these remarks during her recent appearance in an ITV documentary focused on domestic violence, where she conversed with Diana Parkes, the mother of domestic abuse victim Joanna Simpson.
Reflecting on the King's strength, Camilla shared a light-hearted concern, saying, “The problem is trying to stop him. That’s the problem.” Parkes responded warmly, noting how healthy the King appeared, saying, “He looks amazing. I’m so pleased.”
These comments follow the royal couple's successful tour of Australia and Samoa, which Buckingham Palace described as a "perfect tonic" for King Charles. According to a Palace spokesperson, the King thoroughly enjoyed the journey, marking a high note as the family prepares for a busy tour schedule next year.
The royal family announced King Charles's cancer diagnosis in February 2024, and he has been receiving ongoing treatment ever since.
