Eton College May Be Skipped in Favour of a More Personal Choice
Catherine may be steering her eldest son, George, away from Eton College, according to royal expert Charlotte Griffiths, sparking speculation about the future king’s education. This potential break from tradition would mark a significant shift from William’s own school days.
Griffiths shared on GB News, “We’re likely to learn this year where George will attend school, and I don’t think it will be Eton.” She suggested that Catherine’s personal experiences might influence the choice, favouring Marlborough College, her own alma mater.
Highlighting her time at Marlborough, Griffiths noted, “Catherine found refuge there after a difficult start at her previous school.”
As George, who turns 11 in July, takes on more royal responsibilities, his schooling decision could set a precedent for future heirs, potentially moving closer to home and aligning with his mother’s vision.
