Meghan Markle and Harry Stay Firm in California Despite Political Challenges

Duke and Duchess of Sussex Prioritise Family Life and Stability in the U.S.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry remain committed to their California lifestyle despite recent political shifts and external pressures, according to royal expert Jenny Bond.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have no plans to relocate, even amid speculation about political turmoil and potential deportation threats from former President Donald Trump. Bond shared that the couple is deeply settled in their Montecito home, where they enjoy "sun, sea, and freedom" with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.

"Meghan loves being close to her mother, who plays a big part in their lives, and Harry now regards the United States as his home," Bond noted. Reports also confirm that Archie has recently started school in California, further anchoring the family.

While the couple may feel disappointed by the election results, their liberal enclave in California provides a safe and insulated environment. "They live in one of the most expensive and protected areas of the state, far removed from Trumpite America," the commentator explained.

The Sussexes are also maintaining ties with friends like Ellen DeGeneres, despite her reported move abroad. However, litigation over Harry's security arrangements has restricted the family’s ability to visit the UK.

Looking ahead, the couple plans to continue building their future in California, only venturing abroad for holidays, such as to their Portugal residence. For now, the Duke and Duchess are focused on their family and enjoying the stability they’ve found in the U.S.
