Food Critic Opens Up About Christmas Traditions and His Admiration for King Charles
Tom Parker Bowles, Queen Camilla’s son, has candidly shared that he has never participated in the Royal Family’s Christmas celebrations at Sandringham, despite widespread assumptions.
“I keep getting asked what royal Christmases are like, but I’ve not actually been to one,” Parker Bowles revealed in a recent interview. “I’ve talked to my mother about it, and from what I gather, it’s fairly traditional: a decent-sized Norfolk turkey with all the trimmings, mince pies, and Christmas pudding.”
Reflecting on his own holiday traditions, the food critic explained that since his divorce eight years ago, he has typically spent Christmas Day with his ex-wife Sara and their family. This year, however, his plans remain undecided. “I might be with my mother and The King or preparing the veg before having a pint in my local pub,” he mused.
During the interview with Saga, Parker Bowles also expressed admiration for his stepfather, King Charles, describing him as a “food hero.” Their shared passion for culinary traditions further underscores the strong bond between the two.
Parker Bowles’s insights offer a unique glimpse into his personal life and his relationship with the Royal Family, blending tradition with his own independent holiday routines.
