Queen intensifies royal duties amid growing prominence of the Princess of Wales
Queen Camilla appears to be reinforcing her presence in the royal family as King Charles grants Catherine a more influential role within the monarchy.
Over the past year, the royal family has faced significant challenges, with key members sidelined due to health concerns and scandals surrounding Prince Andrew. Amid these difficulties, public enthusiasm for Catherine remained strong, reportedly influencing the King’s decision to elevate her role.
A well-placed source revealed Charles’ strategic decision: “Now that [Catherine] is back on her feet, arguably better and stronger than ever, the royals have made the choice to make her the face of the family for the foreseeable future,” the insider told InTouch Weekly.
The King recently reinforced this by allowing Catherine to grant royal warrants—an honour traditionally reserved for the monarch and heirs—signifying her rising status within the institution.
However, Camilla appears to be responding by stepping up her own royal duties. In the past week alone, she has attended five public engagements following Catherine’s widely publicised return.
Despite her efforts, insiders acknowledge Catherine’s growing influence. “Charles, William, and even Camilla know Kate is their last chance to save the monarchy,” a source noted.
With Charles determined to position Catherine at the forefront, the Princess of Wales is reportedly embracing her evolving role. “She’s almost universally beloved and has a lot of ideas for positive change,” the source added. “She’s ready to take charge.”
