Monarch Takes Steps to Heal Rift Amid Meghan’s Upcoming Show Debut
King Charles III, amidst concerns over his health and discussions of abdication, has reportedly shown surprising support for Meghan Markle’s latest venture, signalling a desire to ease tensions with Harry and Meghan.
While the royal family has not publicly commented on Meghan’s upcoming Netflix cooking series, With Love, Meghan, insiders reveal a united stance behind closed doors. Royal expert Richard Eden wrote in The Daily Mail that the King and other royals hope the show will succeed.
“Everyone wants it to be a success. If it is, Meghan and Harry won’t feel the need to exploit their royal connections again,” a Palace source reportedly shared. Eden added, “The last thing anyone wants is another Spare, this time from Meghan.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appear to be shifting away from royal drama, refraining from negative remarks about the family throughout 2024, particularly during King Charles and Princess Kate’s health challenges.
The eight-episode series, premiering January 15, is expected to feature Meghan alongside her celebrity friends, with a possible appearance from Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
As the Sussexes pursue independent ventures, King Charles’ reaction to Meghan’s project underscores his intent to repair family ties while supporting their efforts to move forward.
