Monarch acknowledges JCB’s legacy with continued royal recognition
King Charles III has renewed JCB’s royal warrant, ensuring the company retains its esteemed right to display the Royal Arms on its machinery and products.
JCB, a globally renowned construction equipment manufacturer, first earned the honour over 40 years ago under the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Following her passing in 2022, all royal warrants issued during her tenure were voided, necessitating renewal under the new monarch.
Based in Rocester, Staffordshire, JCB is a family-run business employing 8,000 people in the UK and 7,000 worldwide. Established in 1945 by Joseph Cyril Bamford, the company is famous for its iconic yellow diggers and commitment to excellence.
Since 1982, JCB has supplied machinery to the royal household, maintaining a trusted partnership that the renewed warrant further solidifies. The updated recognition will remain valid for three years, symbolising the continued trust and approval of the monarchy.
A JCB spokesperson expressed the company’s pride in receiving the honour:
