Duchess of Sussex reflects on personal growth and embraces flexibility in a heartfelt message.
Meghan Markle has delighted fans by revisiting her New Year’s resolutions, revealing personal habits she hoped to change and aspirations for self-improvement.
In a personal note from her former lifestyle blog, The Tig, the Duchess of Sussex shared her goals for 2016, which included both ambitious and relatable intentions.
“Run a marathon. Stop biting my nails. Stop swearing. Re-learn French. These make up my New Year's resolution list nearly every year (AKA actually every),” she wrote, according to Express.
Meghan confessed that she often fell short of her resolutions. “The marathon hasn’t happened. The swearing comes in lulls triggered by being overworked or feeling mighty cheeky after a couple of drinks,” she admitted.
Regarding her “unladylike” habit of nail-biting, she shared, “It still happens with a turbulent flight or a stressful day. It’s unladylike. But then again, so is the swearing. Dammit.”
As a mother to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, Meghan also reflected on broader goals for her future, focusing on joy and adaptability.
“My New Year's resolution is to leave room for magic. To make my plans, and be okay if they sometimes break. To set my goals, but to be open to change,” she wrote.
Her candid and optimistic approach to resolutions continues to inspire fans, offering a reminder that personal growth is about progress, not perfection.
