Meghan Markle’s New Netflix Show Criticized as ‘Out of Touch’

‘With Love, Meghan’ sparks backlash before its premiere

Meghan Markle’s upcoming Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, has drawn sharp criticism ahead of its January 15 debut, with commentators labeling the lifestyle show as unrealistic and out of reach.

GB News presenter Martin Daubney led the charge, mocking the show’s extravagant production and branding it “more like a recipe for trouble than triumph.”

Highlighting Meghan’s scenes in a £5 million mansion—not her real home—Daubney quipped about the lifestyle tips portrayed, such as making “bespoke doughnuts” and “ice cubes with flowers inside.” He sarcastically remarked, “Who’s got the time for that?” and compared the series to Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop, “minus the dodgy scented candles.”

The eight-part series promises practical advice and candid conversations aimed at “elevating the everyday into the extraordinary,” but critics are unimpressed. Royal historian Dr. Tessa Dunlop joined in, calling the show “laughably out of reach for the vast majority.”

Despite its glossy appeal, Meghan’s first major project in years is already facing skepticism from audiences who feel the Duchess’s “extraordinary” lifestyle might not resonate with everyday viewers.
