Allegations Against Duke of York Deepen Strain Amid Monarch’s Health Struggles
Prince Andrew has delivered an early controversy for King Charles in 2025, casting the royal family in a negative light as they face ongoing challenges after a tumultuous year.
According to GB News, an anti-monarchist group has filed a police complaint accusing the Duke of York of "allegedly using a false name in Companies House filings." While no immediate action has been taken, the Metropolitan Police confirmed the matter is under review.
A Met spokesperson stated, “On Monday, January 6, the Met received a report relating to a Companies House filing. This report will now be assessed to determine whether any further action is required. There is no investigation at this early stage.”
This incident follows a difficult Christmas for the royal family, during which Andrew’s alleged involvement in a spy scandal overshadowed celebrations. The Duke of York, alongside Sarah Ferguson, opted out of the traditional Sandringham walkabout, fueling speculation and criticism.
Adding to the tension, Andrew is reportedly feuding with King Charles over the Royal Lodge, further straining relations within the family as the monarch continues to battle cancer.
As King Charles contends with these new challenges, Prince Andrew’s actions highlight the ongoing difficulties facing the royal family in maintaining stability and their public image.
