Prince Andrew has reportedly thrown the royal family into turmoil with a controversial move that has sparked accusations of a national security breach. The Duke of York’s alleged connection with Chinese businessman Yang Tengbo—reportedly a spy—unleashed chaos just days before Christmas, according to UK court documents.
The scandal rocked Buckingham Palace as King Charles III, already facing health challenges, was forced to navigate the fallout during preparations for the royal family’s Christmas celebrations.
Despite hosting more than 50 members of the royal family at the annual pre-Christmas lunch on December 19, Andrew was notably absent. His ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, reportedly urged him to skip the event to spare King Charles the awkward position of disinviting him.
The Duke has denied any wrongdoing, insisting that “nothing of a sensitive nature was discussed” and confirming that he has since cut ties with Yang, who also denies espionage allegations.
