Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Reportedly Lose Multi-Million Book Deal

Duke and Duchess face professional setback despite legal victory

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly suffered a significant loss as their multi-million-pound book deal with Penguin Random House appears to have ended.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who signed the lucrative contract in 2021, were expected to produce multiple works following the success of Harry’s memoir Spare in 2023. However, according to royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, the agreement has now quietly dissipated due to unmet expectations.

Speaking on TalkTV, Schofield revealed, “Page Six is reporting that Harry and Meghan’s $20 million deal with Penguin Random House seems to have fallen apart.” She further cited Vanity Fair, which suggested that publishing insiders had doubts about the couple’s work ethic and collaboration skills.

Additionally, reports indicated that a hypothetical pitch regarding a potential divorce memoir had been circulating among Meghan’s team, raising further speculation about their future publishing prospects.

While the couple recently celebrated a legal victory, this latest development marks a major career setback, potentially affecting their standing in the publishing world as they navigate their post-royal ventures.
