Prince Harry Cancels UK Visit to Focus on Invictus Games After Legal Victory

The Duke of Sussex shifts his attention to Canada following settlement with UK publisher

Prince Harry has reportedly decided to cancel his planned trip to the UK in February after receiving good news from his legal team regarding the settlement of his case against a British media group.

“The Duke of Sussex has changed his mind about travelling to the UK as he’s focusing on his Invictus Games event in Canada this year,” a source close to Harry revealed.

The 2025 Invictus Games, set to take place in Vancouver from February 8 to February 16, have become Harry’s primary focus. “Harry is in high spirits and excited about the upcoming event,” the source added. “After the settlement, there doesn’t seem to be a need for him to visit Britain.”

The publisher of The Sun, News Group Newspapers, has issued a “full and unequivocal apology” to Harry for what they admitted was a “serious intrusion” into his life. The company has also agreed to pay the Duke “substantial damages.”

Although reports suggest that legal fees for both sides could total £10 million, Harry’s team has not disclosed the exact figures of the settlement or the damages awarded.

As Harry prepares for the Invictus Games, his legal victory marks another milestone in his efforts to hold media organisations accountable while allowing him to focus on causes closest to his heart.
