No signs of reconciliation as royal expert casts doubt on meetings with King Charles and Prince William
Prince Harry is set to return to the UK next month, prompting speculation about a potential reunion with King Charles and Prince William. However, royal expert Jennie Bond has poured cold water on the possibility of family meetings during the Duke of Sussex’s visit, which is primarily focused on his ongoing legal battle with News Group Newspapers (NGN), the publisher of The Sun.
Speaking to The Mirror, Bond remarked, “I think we’ve given up expecting any meeting between Harry and his family when he visits the UK.” She added that while it’s “possible” Harry could meet with his father, King Charles, there is “absolutely no sign of reconciliation” between Harry and his brother William.
The visit comes nearly a year after Harry’s last encounter with his father at Clarence House following the King’s cancer diagnosis. Despite the gravity of that meeting, relations between the Duke and the royal family appear to remain strained.
Harry’s upcoming trip is expected to be dominated by his court case against NGN, leaving little time for personal engagements. For now, any potential family reunions seem unlikely, as the distance between Harry and the royal family persists.
