Royal couple mourns the death of Ed Pettifer in emotional statement
Prince William and Princess Kate have broken their silence to express grief over the tragic loss of Ed Pettifer, who was killed during a New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans.

Ed Pettifer was the stepson of Tiggy Legge-Bourke, the former nanny to Princes William and Harry from 1993 to 1999. Tiggy married Ed’s father, Charles Pettifer, in 1999, a ceremony attended by both royal brothers.
