Royal couple mourns the death of Ed Pettifer in emotional statement
Prince William and Princess Kate have broken their silence to express grief over the tragic loss of Ed Pettifer, who was killed during a New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans.
Through their official Instagram account, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared their devastation over the incident, which claimed multiple lives.
“Catherine and I have been shocked and saddened by the tragic death of Ed Pettifer,” William wrote. “Our thoughts and prayers remain with the Pettifer family and all those innocent people who have been tragically impacted by this horrific attack.”
Ed Pettifer was the stepson of Tiggy Legge-Bourke, the former nanny to Princes William and Harry from 1993 to 1999. Tiggy married Ed’s father, Charles Pettifer, in 1999, a ceremony attended by both royal brothers.
