Waleses emphasise family balance and grounded upbringing for royal heirs
As 2025 begins, Prince William and Princess Catherine have reportedly conveyed a heartfelt message to King Charles, outlining their vision for Prince George’s future role within the monarchy.
Royal biographer Robert Jobson told Hello! Magazine that the Prince and Princess of Wales are committed to balancing their royal duties with family life. “William and Catherine have made it clear to the King that they are committed to maintaining this balance, ensuring their children grow up in a nurturing environment,” Jobson said.
Prince George, the second in line to the throne, will take on official duties as he matures to better prepare him for his eventual role as monarch. However, William and Catherine are prioritising a traditional yet modern upbringing for George, along with Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, to help them become “well-adjusted adults, ready for their roles when the time comes.”
Despite their royal status, the Waleses are dedicated to creating a grounded home life for their children. A close friend of the family told People, “They run a normal, busy family home with kids running around and knocking things over. There’s no airs and graces.”
Insiders have also highlighted Catherine’s hands-on parenting style, which aims to keep her children’s reality in check. “Her priority is to help George, Charlotte, and Louis stay grounded and connected to what truly matters,” the source added.
The Waleses’ approach sends a clear signal of their intent to modernise royal parenting while preparing their children for their future responsibilities within the monarchy.
