Prince William’s Vision for Prince George’s Future Role Revealed

Royal expert sheds light on plans to uphold the Prince of Wales tradition.

Prince William is expected to maintain the royal custom of bestowing the title of Prince of Wales on his eldest son, Prince George, when he ascends the throne, according to royal expert Huw Thomas.

Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, Thomas explained that while William has introduced modern elements to royal life, he is unlikely to break with tradition when it comes to this iconic title. "While the title doesn’t pass automatically, history and tradition strongly suggest that William will continue the practice," he said.

The Prince of Wales title, deeply rooted in the monarchy's customs, has long been a symbol of the heir apparent. King Charles III held the title for over six decades before passing it to William soon after becoming king, underscoring its significance.

“Charles wasted no time in granting the title to William, and it would be surprising if William didn’t do the same for George in the future,” Thomas remarked, highlighting the importance of continuity in the royal legacy.

While William is likely to bring a modern touch to his reign, preserving such traditions ensures a sense of stability and respect for the monarchy’s enduring heritage.
