The Duchess of Sussex and the Queen connect through a shared love for honey production
Queen Camilla and Meghan Markle have revealed a surprising connection through their mutual passion for beekeeping. As Meghan prepares for the release of her upcoming Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, set to premiere on March 4, her interest in honey production aligns with the Queen’s long-standing enthusiasm for the craft.
Meghan’s lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, will feature honey and jam among its offerings. In a heartfelt gesture, she gifted close friends jars of homemade jam last year, showcasing her hands-on involvement.
Queen Camilla, too, has a rich history with beekeeping, previously selling honey from her Wiltshire estate, Ray Mill House, at the prestigious Fortnum & Mason. Additionally, for over two decades, Camilla has been a dedicated fan of Deborah Mitchell’s Heaven skincare, which incorporates bee venom facials touted for their anti-aging benefits.
Adding to the family’s love for beekeeping, King Charles maintains several beehives across royal estates, including Highgrove House and Windsor Castle, underscoring the royals’ commitment to sustainable practices.
On Instagram, Meghan, 43, shared her excitement for her Netflix project: “I’m thrilled to finally share this with you! I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it. Wishing you all a wonderful new year!”
This shared love for beekeeping highlights a unique and unexpected bond between the Duchess of Sussex and Queen Camilla, connecting their personal and professional passions.
