The royal family is reportedly “keeping their fingers crossed” for the success of Meghan Markle’s upcoming Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, premiering January 15.
According to royal insiders, senior members of the monarchy are optimistic that the Duchess of Sussex’s eight-part lifestyle and cooking show will allow Meghan and Harry to thrive independently without relying on their royal connections.
“Everyone wants it to be a success,” a source told The Mail, adding, “The last thing anyone wants is another Spare, this time from Meghan.”
The series, which features Meghan sharing cooking tips and lifestyle advice, has already generated buzz with a teaser showcasing appearances by Harry, their rescue dog Guy, and an impressive lineup of celebrity guests.
Actress Mindy Kaling, one of the confirmed guests, revealed during the Golden Globes that Meghan personally invited her to their Montecito home while on maternity leave. Praising Meghan’s culinary talents, Kaling joked that her own skills looked “average” in comparison, also expressing envy over the Duchess’s thriving garden and chickens.
