Duchess of York highlights global education efforts following candid revelation
Sarah Ferguson has made an exciting announcement about her philanthropic work following her recent remarks about life with Prince Andrew.
The Duchess of York took to Instagram to share her involvement in The United Nations International Day of Education show, hosted by @peaceoneday_official, expressing her joy in supporting the cause.
“I’m thrilled to have been a part of this important event,” she wrote, marking the occasion with heartwarming photos of children from around the world.
Reflecting on her decades-long commitment to education, Sarah shared, “Since founding Children in Crisis in 1993, followed by @sarahs_trust_ in 2019, we’ve educated over 1.4 million children, trained more than 18,000 teachers, and built 57 schools.”
Reaffirming her dedication to philanthropy, she promised to continue championing education globally. “Each year, we continue to support hundreds of schools worldwide,” she added, encouraging her followers to tune into the #EducationDay show to raise awareness for equal access to education.
Sarah’s announcement follows a deeply personal interview in which she seemingly compared Prince Andrew to her late father. Speaking to The Sunday Times, she said, “I was left to look after a sad man, which is sort of what I’m doing now,” a remark widely interpreted as a reference to her life at Royal Lodge with the Duke of York.
Despite personal challenges, the Duchess remains committed to making education the foundation for "peace and progress," continuing her impactful work across the globe.
