Duchess of York opens up about personal struggles and royal tensions as the year comes to a close.
Sarah Ferguson has shared an emotional reflection on the difficulties of 2024, addressing her health battles and the ongoing feud between Prince Andrew and King Charles.
In a video posted on Instagram, the Duchess of York appeared in a serene garden with her two dogs, discussing her partnership with a meditation app designed to help her manage anxiety.
“As we reflect on the year gone by and the one that lies ahead, I know 2024 has been a challenging time for many,” Sarah wrote in the caption. She candidly recounted her own struggles after being diagnosed with skin and breast cancer, adding, “Sometimes, all of us are overwhelmed by loneliness, anxiety, or sleeplessness. This year, I decided to seek out tools that can help with healthfulness, wellness, and peacefulness.”
Her heartfelt message comes amid escalating tensions between Prince Andrew and King Charles. The monarch has been urging Andrew to vacate Royal Lodge, a request Andrew has resisted, deepening rifts within the royal family.
Adding to the strain, Sarah and Andrew were absent from the royal family’s Christmas celebrations following Andrew’s controversial portrayal of the royals in a spy scandal.
Despite these challenges, Sarah’s message focuses on resilience and self-care, offering a hopeful outlook as she looks toward a brighter 2025.
