Sarah Ferguson has extended her condolences and support to those affected by the devastating wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles.
The Duchess of York, 65, took to social media to express her sorrow, writing, “My heart breaks as I watch the devastating wildfires that Los Angeles is currently facing. My thoughts are with all those affected, and my support goes out to everyone in the emergency services working tirelessly to help.”
The fires, which have claimed five lives and forced over 130,000 residents to evacuate, have engulfed areas near iconic landmarks like Runyon Canyon and the Hollywood sign.
Sheila Kelliher, captain of the Los Angeles Fire Department, described the situation as "apocalyptic," with winds of up to 100 miles per hour fanning the flames across the region.
