Actress Reportedly Believes Ex-Husband Is Behind Career Setback
Angelina Jolie reportedly believes Brad Pitt is actively working against her in Hollywood, blaming him for her shocking Oscars snub for Maria.
Jolie and Pitt, who were together from 2006 to 2016 and officially divorced in 2019, have had a history of legal battles and personal conflict, including allegations of verbal and physical abuse during a 2016 flight incident. Their feud has reportedly escalated, with their children distancing themselves from Pitt and dropping his last name.
According to RadarOnline.com, Jolie suspects Pitt of using his Hollywood influence to prevent her from regaining her position at the top of the industry—possibly with the help of Jennifer Aniston.
“There was a ton of buzz about how her performance in Maria was a career-defining role,” an insider revealed. “She fully expected to win an Oscar, so not even getting nominated was unbelievable to her.”
Jolie allegedly believes Pitt led a smear campaign to damage her reputation, making her out to be the villain in their highly publicized breakup.
The report also suggests that Aniston, who divorced Pitt in 2005 after his romance with Jolie, still harbours resentment and has been bad-mouthing Jolie to influential Hollywood insiders.
“It’s been 20 years since Angelina stole Brad from Jen, but she still hasn’t forgiven her,” the source claimed. “There are plenty of powerful people in the industry who are on Jen’s side.”
Jolie reportedly believes Pitt and Aniston’s allies have spread damaging stories about her, making it difficult for her to reclaim her place in Hollywood.
As tensions continue, Jolie is said to be frustrated and convinced that she is being intentionally excluded from major industry recognition, further fueling speculation about Hollywood’s behind-the-scenes power struggles.
