Music Mogul Claims Documentary Paints Him as a ‘Monster’
Sean Diddy Combs, currently incarcerated in Brooklyn, has filed a $100 million lawsuit against NBC, alleging that a documentary about him is defamatory and unjustly vilifies him.
The 55-year-old disgraced music producer lodged the complaint on Wednesday, February 12th, arguing that the programme attempts to “crudely psychologise” him.
Legal documents obtained by Page Six state: “It maliciously and baselessly jumps to the conclusion that Mr. Combs is a ‘monster’ and ‘an embodiment of Lucifer’ with ‘a lot of similarities to Jeffrey Epstein.’”
The lawsuit disputes numerous allegations made in the documentary, including claims that he was responsible for the death of his former partner and mother of his children, dismissing them as unfounded.
It further condemns the portrayal of Combs as a “serial killer,” arguing that such accusations are “fake news of the most damaging kind” and lack any supporting evidence.
His legal team asserts they had warned NBC and Ample in December that their claims were “unequivocally false” and “debunked,” yet the network proceeded with the release of the trailer and series.
The lawsuit claims the alleged defamation is causing “substantial reputational and financial harm” and jeopardising Combs’ right to a fair trial.
