Duke of Sussex reportedly regrets losing friendships after moving to California
Harry is reportedly facing a sense of isolation in the United States, as insiders suggest he has struggled to build a strong social circle since leaving Britain.
Once known for his active and close-knit friendships, the Duke of Sussex has distanced himself from many longtime friends following his move to California. In his 2022 Netflix documentary, he acknowledged that he had “lost a few friends” after relocating, and now sources claim he may be feeling the weight of that loss.
“He doesn’t have the same kind of close-knit friendships in the US, and that’s been difficult,” a source told Radar Online.
Despite this, Harry has maintained that he is happy with his life in America. In December 2024, he stated that he enjoys raising his children there and has no intention of returning to the UK. He also expressed his belief that his late mother, Princess Diana, would have supported his decision.
However, former friends have previously suggested that his relationship with Meghan Markle contributed to his growing distance from many old acquaintances. As he continues to adjust to life outside the royal family, questions remain about whether he has truly found the sense of belonging he once had.
