Princess of Wales Touches Hearts with Poignant Message After Receiving Special Honour
Kensington Palace has released an emotional video featuring Princess Catherine following the announcement of her new patronage at Tŷ Hafan children’s hospice.
The Prince and Princess of Wales’ official social media accounts shared the touching footage alongside a heartfelt statement from Catherine, celebrating the hospice’s invaluable work.
"A proud moment becoming Patron of Tŷ Hafan," she expressed. "Opening in 1999 as Wales’ first children’s hospice, @ty_hafan continues to provide specialist care to children with life-shortening conditions, offering vital support to them and their families, throughout life, at end of life, and beyond."
Having recently returned to public life after her cancer battle, the Princess of Wales won widespread admiration for her visit, echoing the legacy of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. The hospice, which was built with Diana’s fundraising support, was one of her key charitable initiatives, making Catherine’s new role particularly meaningful.
During her solo engagement, the 43-year-old royal spent time with patients and their families, offering words of comfort. "There is light at the end of that tunnel... You are in the best of hands," she reassured them.
Catherine’s visit and her emotional message have deeply resonated with the public, further highlighting her unwavering dedication to children's health and palliative care.
