Monarch’s new documentary overshadows Duchess’ upcoming lifestyle show
King Charles has reportedly dealt a major blow to Meghan Markle by partnering with Amazon Prime for a high-profile documentary—just as the Duchess prepares to launch her much-anticipated With Love, Meghan Netflix series.
The monarch’s upcoming project focuses on sustainability and the future of the planet, with a Palace insider stating that it aims to "show, not tell viewers how to transform people, places, and ultimately the planet."
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News that Charles' documentary will likely attract a larger audience than Meghan’s show, saying: “The film will have kudos and get a wider audience because of King Charles’ involvement. He has given speeches on the environment since 1970.”
He added that Harmony, the King’s documentary, is philosophical in nature, addressing the imbalance between humanity and nature rather than chasing high ratings. “Amazon Prime is making it—it isn’t a ratings chaser like With Love, Meghan. There is no similarity whatsoever,” Fitzwilliams remarked.
Meanwhile, Meghan’s lifestyle series, which was postponed due to the LA fires, is now set to premiere in March. However, with King Charles’ documentary expected to dominate headlines, speculation grows over whether the Duchess’ return to the spotlight will be overshadowed by the monarch’s influential project.
