Monarch Bestows Prestigious Honor While Duke of Sussex Considers Return
Buckingham Palace has confirmed that King Charles has made a significant decision regarding a prestigious royal title, following a long-standing tradition established by Queen Elizabeth II.
The monarch has officially granted the title of "His Highness" to Prince Rahim Al-Hussaini, 53, who has been named Aga Khan V after the passing of his father, Prince Karim Al-Hussaini. The late Aga Khan, a revered spiritual leader, passed away last week at the age of 88.
According to Hello! Magazine, the Palace stated that the King bestowed the title to honour a royal tradition that dates back to 1957 when Queen Elizabeth II granted the same distinction to the late Aga Khan IV.
King Charles also expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of the Ismaili community leader, recognising his contributions and longstanding relationship with the royal family.
This decision comes amid ongoing discussions about Prince Harry’s potential return to the UK. As per Hello! Magazine, a close friend of the Duke of Sussex revealed that Harry is focused on ensuring the safety of himself and his family while visiting Britain.
The source stated that Harry’s “simple” mission is to allow his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to build a connection with their father’s home country while also continuing to support his patronages and their charitable work.
While no official plans have been confirmed, the latest developments suggest that King Charles and Harry’s futures remain intertwined amid important royal transitions.
