Buckingham Palace Acknowledges Royal Contributions After Harry and Meghan’s Public Remarks
Buckingham Palace has released a new statement recognising key family members, just hours after Meghan Markle shared an emotional video highlighting her and Harry’s recent trip to Canada for the Invictus Games.
The Palace paid tribute to Duchess Sophie and Prince Edward for their dedicated service as they concluded their visit to Nepal. Official social media accounts of the royal family shared endearing photos of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, celebrating their efforts.
Accompanying the images, the Palace stated: “On the final day of their visit, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh explored the breathtaking landscapes around Pokhara and the Annapurna Conservation Area, concluding their journey in Ghandruk—a picturesque hill village with deep-rooted Gurkha heritage.
“Their Royal Highnesses were warmly welcomed with a traditional ceremony and enjoyed a vibrant Gurung dance performance by a local youth club, celebrating the rich culture and history of the region.”
The Palace’s statement and newly released images of Sophie and Edward came shortly after Meghan turned to her recently launched Instagram account to promote Invictus Games activities.
In an emotional appeal, the Duchess of Sussex encouraged support for the event, writing: “Get ready for a week of heart, hope, and heroes in action. Join us in cheering loudly and proudly to show just how much these competitors and their families mean to us.”
