King Charles Sends Supportive Message as Harry Prepares to Leave Canada

Father and Son Highlight 'Unity' and 'Resilience' Despite Ongoing Royal Rift

King Charles has seemingly extended a message of support as Harry prepares to return to the US after concluding the Invictus Games in Canada.

As the final events of the adaptive sporting competition commence in Vancouver, Harry, who founded the Games in 2014, continues to champion its mission despite his estrangement from the royal family.

In a rare alignment, both father and son shared messages centred on unity and resilience. During a traditional ceremony with Tsleil-Waututh youth ambassadors, where Harry was honoured, he remarked that the event represented “warmth and embrace of the community, offering a deep sense of belonging and solidarity.” He also expressed his “sincere gratitude for the honour of being welcomed in such a meaningful way.”

Meanwhile, King Charles issued a personal message to Canadians in honour of the 60th anniversary of the National Flag of Canada. “Today my wife and I join with Canadians across Canada, and around the world, to commemorate an important milestone,” the statement read. He described the flag as a “symbol that never fails to elicit a sense of pride and admiration,” reflecting on his many visits and friendships in the country.

The simultaneous messages of unity arrive as Harry prepares to head back to California following the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games.
