A royal insider has shed light on King Charles' reaction to Donald Trump’s latest remarks about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Trump recently addressed the controversy surrounding Harry’s US visa, stating he wouldn’t seek to deport him despite questions over his drug use admissions in Spare. However, he took a swipe at the Sussexes, saying Harry already has “enough problems” with Meghan, whom he called “terrible.”
The former president’s comments come amid an ongoing dispute over whether Harry received special treatment when entering the US. The Heritage Foundation has challenged the legitimacy of his visa approval, citing his self-confessed history with narcotics.
According to a royal source, King Charles may find a sense of relief in Trump’s stance. "The fact is that Harry and Meghan are a source of strain and worry for His Majesty," an insider told The Daily Mail.
"While he is sorry that he does not have a relationship with his grandchildren in America, it is easier for his peace of mind that there's an ocean between him and Harry."
The discussion over Harry’s visa remains ongoing, with US Judge Carl Nichols recently suggesting he may unseal some of the records related to the Duke of Sussex’s immigration status. The legal battle continues as the US Department of Homeland Security has denied public access to Harry’s visa documents, citing privacy concerns.
