Monarch launches new youth program as Duke of Sussex’s mission comes to light
King Charles has announced an exciting new initiative just as reports emerge of Prince Harry’s “simple” mission to return to the UK with Meghan Markle and their children, Archie and Lilibet.
The King’s passion project, The King’s Foundation, has launched a nationwide search for 35 young charity ambassadors from diverse backgrounds to support its work in preserving and promoting traditional skills.
According to The Telegraph, the foundation is seeking creative individuals aged 18 to 35 who specialise in traditional arts and craftsmanship. The selected ambassadors will work closely with the foundation to protect heritage skills and inspire future generations.
Simon Sadinsky, the foundation’s executive director, highlighted the importance of providing young people with a platform: “In order to create change – to promote these trades, these practices, these skills that we feel so strongly about – it is fundamental to provide a voice to the next generation.”
He also praised the King’s commitment to the cause: “Having someone such as His Majesty, who is, in so many ways, an ambassador for these skills and traditions, creates a real sense of pride and enthusiasm in our young people.”
The announcement comes as Hello! reports that Prince Harry is focused on securing his UK security case, ensuring his children can maintain a connection to their royal roots. While speculation about his return continues, King Charles remains dedicated to fostering opportunities for young talent through his foundation’s latest initiative.
