Former Royal Butler Criticises Branding Move Amid Legal Concerns
Meghan Markle has faced fresh criticism after her latest rebranding attempt was slammed as "rubbish" by royal commentators, stirring fresh tension.
The Duchess of Sussex recently changed the name of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, following a trademark dispute. However, the new logo has triggered further controversy, with claims that it closely resembles the historic coat of arms of Porreres, Mallorca, leading to a legal investigation.
Eamonn Holmes, speaking on GB News, mocked the rebrand, questioning, "You wonder why somebody would have such a rubbish name anyway?" Holmes also criticised the logo, saying, "It looks Arabic."
Grant Harrold, former royal butler, also criticised the rebrand, calling it a "disaster" for Meghan. "She's trying to launch this brand, and already she's had to rename it. The logo’s similarity to the Spanish town's emblem isn’t ideal," he said.
Harrold further commented on the couple's repeated branding efforts, suggesting they often fail to resonate. "This is not something royals typically do. Every attempt at branding seems to end in disappointment," he added.
