Streaming giant expresses confidence in Sussexes’ upcoming projects
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have received encouraging news from Netflix executives as their £80 million contract approaches its renewal deadline later this year.
In a conversation with The Mail, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, praised Meghan’s upcoming cooking and lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, expressing excitement for its release. “We have Meghan’s new show coming out, which is great. It’s such a fresh take on a lifestyle show, celebrating California, Montecito, and nature,” Bajaria stated.
She added, “It really has great takeaways—I was watching it and thought, ‘Oh my God, I want to make that pasta.’ It’s an inspiring and accessible show, and I’m really excited for its release.”
Originally set to debut in January, Meghan’s Netflix project was postponed due to the Los Angeles wildfires and is now expected to premiere in March. The streaming giant’s enthusiastic endorsement of the Sussexes' work has fueled speculation that their partnership with Netflix may be extended beyond the original agreement.
Amid ongoing controversies, this public show of support comes as a significant win for Harry and Meghan, solidifying their presence in the entertainment industry.
