Kensington Palace shares heartfelt message highlighting charity’s impact
Kensington Palace has released a touching tribute to staff at Child Bereavement UK, sharing emotional images and a meaningful statement amid renewed scrutiny over Meghan Markle’s past treatment of employees.
The Prince and Princess of Wales’ official social media accounts posted a heartfelt message acknowledging the vital work of the charity’s Northwest service, which supports children and young adults coping with grief.
"Joining the wonderful staff of @childbereavementuk’s Northwest service today," the statement read. "It is the charity’s busiest service in the UK, supporting children and young people up to the age of 25 when someone important to them has died or is dying, as well as supporting parents and wider family through baby loss. It is such important work."
The Palace further praised the resilience of the families assisted by the charity, stating: "The families and children they have supported show immense strength under the most terrible of circumstances."
In response, Child Bereavement UK expressed gratitude for Prince William’s ongoing support, writing: "We were honoured to welcome our Royal Patron HRH The Prince of Wales to our bereavement service in Widnes, Cheshire today. Prince William met bereaved young people and parents supported by the charity as well as staff, fundraisers, and volunteers."
The statement comes amid continued public debate over past allegations regarding Meghan Markle’s interactions with royal staff, a topic that has resurfaced in media discussions. However, William and Kate’s focus remained firmly on their commitment to supporting charitable causes and recognising the dedication of those who provide vital services to those in need.
