Jason Knauf stands by claims despite Duchess’s ‘smear campaign’ accusations
Jason Knauf, the former royal aide who accused Meghan Markle of bullying junior staff members, has broken his silence on the controversy, maintaining that he has "no regrets" over his decision to speak out.
In a new documentary, Where There's A Will, aired on 60 Minutes Australia, Knauf stood by his allegations, asserting that he "wouldn't change anything" regarding the concerns he raised.
The bullying claims first surfaced in 2018 when Knauf sent an internal email expressing worries about Meghan’s treatment of staff. The Duchess of Sussex has since denied the accusations, calling them a "calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation."
Reflecting on the media fallout, Knauf acknowledged the challenges that came with his actions but suggested they were necessary. "You can't choose just to take the fun stuff in any job, and that applies to the prince and princess too," he stated.
Despite the controversy, Knauf also shared that he had “great times” working with Meghan and Harry before the fallout, describing their 2018 Windsor wedding as a “magical experience.”
