Monarch Struggles with Worry Over His Sister’s Well-Being
King Charles is reportedly troubled after receiving a concerning update about his sister, Princess Anne, following her serious accident last year.
The Princess Royal, known as the hardest-working member of the royal family, suffered a shocking injury when she was struck by a horse at her country home, leaving her hospitalised for five days. Now, with new details emerging about her condition, the King is finding it difficult to set aside his concerns.
On Thursday, Anne returned to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where she had been treated in June 2024. Reflecting on her experience, she admitted to having little memory of the incident, telling medical staff, “From my perspective, [it] is really useful to know what happened because I seriously don’t have any idea.” She added, “I just know I was really well looked after, so thank you.”
Despite the gravity of her injury, Anne displayed her characteristic resilience, stating, “I’m also grateful in a weird sort of way that I remember nothing, because that has huge advantages. You can just carry on.”
The update has only deepened King Charles’ concerns, with sources revealing that he was “in tears” over his sister’s unwavering loyalty. Given his own battle with cancer, the monarch reportedly struggles with the thought of Anne feeling obligated to shoulder more responsibilities. However, in true Anne fashion, she assured him with a direct response, promising to “get on with the job.”
Even with her reassurances, those close to the King say he remains worried about his sister’s well-being and is determined to ensure she is properly looked after, especially after her injury.
