Historic royal residence to welcome public amid Duke of Sussex’s upcoming visit
The Royal Family has revealed plans to reopen the Royal Collection Trust at St James's Palace this April and May. While the palace is not typically open to the public, it serves as a venue for significant royal events and ceremonies.
King Charles' office shared the news on the royal family's official social media platforms, accompanied by an iconic image of the historic palace. The statement read: "Royalcollectiontrust St James's Palace tours are back this April and May."
St James's Palace holds deep historical significance, having housed Kings and Queens of England for over 300 years until Queen Victoria relocated the royal residence to Buckingham Palace. The Accession Council continues to meet there following the death of a monarch, and it has hosted numerous key royal occasions, including Queen Victoria's marriage to Prince Albert.
The announcement comes as reports suggest that Harry is preparing to return to the UK, setting aside security concerns to bring the Invictus Games back to Britain.
