Princess of Wales Expresses Interest in Returning to Australia and New Zealand
Catherine has sparked speculation about her next joint tour with Prince William, revealing her desire to revisit Australia and New Zealand with their children.
Marking her return to a key royal event following her cancer battle, the Princess of Wales attended the St Patrick’s Day parade as Colonel of the Irish Guards. Dressed in a bottle-green Alexander McQueen coat and a matching beret-style hat, she appeared in high spirits as she met soldiers and veterans at Wellington Barracks.
During a conversation with Corporal Adam Hamilton, an Australian reservist, Catherine shared that her eldest son was fascinated by his past trip to Australia and New Zealand.
“I would like to go back there with them now. It’s finding time to do that,” she said, hinting at future travel plans.
While expressing her love for exploring new places, she admitted that long flights can be challenging but noted her particular fondness for the Middle East, having spent part of her childhood there.
Catherine also teased the possibility of more royal tours, stating, “There are so many opportunities now to travel. We tend to go further afield for official visits, but it’s about finding time to experience these countries in a more private capacity.”
Ending the conversation with a playful remark, she suggested a future visit Down Under, adding, “I might see you down there!”
