Harry and Meghan’s Netflix Deal ‘Hanging by a Thread’ as Future Remains Uncertain

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s multi-million-dollar partnership with Netflix appears to be at risk, with insiders suggesting the deal is “on borrowed time.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed an exclusive contract with the streaming giant in 2020, but recent reports indicate that their future with the platform is uncertain as their deal has been undermined by their appearances on other platforms.

Meghan’s upcoming lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan—set to premiere on Tuesday—could be a crucial test in determining whether Netflix will renew their contract.

While their docuseries Harry & Meghan was a record-breaking hit, their other projects—Polo, Live to Lead, and Heart of Invictus—failed to generate the same level of interest.

"There’s a growing sentiment that Netflix hasn’t received the value it expected," an insider revealed, noting that the couple’s declining popularity has impacted their marketability.

Behind the scenes, working with the Sussexes has reportedly been challenging, with a company source describing the experience as a “nightmare” and hinting at ongoing tensions.

Despite these concerns, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, has remained publicly optimistic about the collaboration. However, with increasing pressure to deliver successful content, Harry and Meghan’s time with the platform may be running out.
