Princess of Wales takes prominent royal role as palace tensions rise
Catherine has stepped forward to shoulder increased responsibilities amid mounting pressure at the Palace, particularly as King Charles continues his cancer treatment.
Having recently returned fully to royal duties after her own cancer battle last year, the Princess of Wales is embracing a more visible position, bolstered by a significant honour granted by the King himself.
Royal expert Helena Chard told Fox News Digital that while Catherine’s main focus continues to be her family's well-being, she clearly understands and embraces her future role as Queen, working closely alongside Prince William.
“Her priority and thoughts are keeping her family well and safe, as well as forging ahead as the relatable and relevant future queen,” Chard explained.
Chard emphasised Catherine's readiness, noting she has seamlessly adapted over the years, learning directly from the late Queen Elizabeth II.
The King's deep respect for Catherine was highlighted recently when she became the first Princess of Wales in 115 years to be granted the honour of issuing royal warrants—a strong signal of Charles’ trust and intention to position her prominently within a modernising monarchy.
