Rapper’s Warning Kept One of Her Priceless Engagement Rings Safe During Paris Robbery
Kim Kardashian has revealed that a piece of advice from her ex-husband Kanye West helped her avoid an even bigger loss during the infamous 2016 Paris robbery.
Speaking on The Kardashians, Kim recalled how she had worn both of her engagement rings to an event at Madison Square Garden, flaunting them in an Instagram video. West, noticing the post, immediately cautioned her: "Don't you ever wear both of your rings at the same time. Are you looking to get robbed?"
Taking his advice to heart, Kim decided to leave her original 15-carat engagement ring at home before traveling to Paris. Unfortunately, the 20-carat ring she did bring was among the estimated $10 million worth of jewelry stolen during the harrowing heist.
Following the traumatic event, Kim avoided wearing flashy jewelry for several years. However, she recently told her sister Khloé that she is considering bringing diamonds back into her wardrobe.
Kim also shared that she plans to pass down her engagement ring to her daughter, North, recalling a special moment after her proposal: "That one, I'm gonna give to Northy, because she was with me when I got engaged, and she held it after. I took a photo of her with it when she was just a few months old."
